After a welcome from the Vice -Principal of the Belfast Boys’ Model School (BBMS) the group travelled by coach to Belfast International Airport for a visit “behind the scenes” of the airport, including the main control room and viewing tower. Unfortunately, due to poor weather conditions, views of the airfield were restricted. After the tour the group was addressed by the managing director of the airport and other key members of the management who explained the wide variety of employment opportunities that were available at the airport and the entry requirements. This was a two-way exchange, with many insightful questions being asked by the students. After lunch the group returned to BBMS.

In the afternoon each national group of students gave presentations on their home counties and schools.

In the evening the students were entertained at a local youth club.
